Plano BJJ Featured In TATAME (with VIDEO)

Brazilian Top Team Plano's BJJ black belt, Diego Gamonal, was recently featured in the online magazine TATAME.COM.

Here's a snippet in English:

Diego Gamonal helped launch BTT's new Plano, Texas academy earlier this year in January. Mr. Gamonal says he's excited to play a part in the project.

"The gym is really big [5,500+ sq ft] with two separate mats, one for Muay Thai [taught by Head Coach Kale Sims] and the other for Jiu Jitsu [taught by Professor Gamonal]." There is also an open room for Xtreme Fitness classes. "Indeed, this is one of the best training centers I've ever been in," said Gamonal, complimenting the Plano gym.

"I'm feeling pretty good and I was impressed, because even before we opened the academy we already had students enrolled. People love Brazilian Jiu Jitsu."

"With the opening of the new academy, I was unable to compete in the European Championships. But, I am preparing for and will probably participate with other students in the Houston International Open Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships [February 11-12, 2012]."

If you aren't proficient in Portuguese, you can still enjoy the English VIDEO tutorial Diego made with fellow Brazilian Top Team BJJ black belt, Marcello Salazar from BTT's San Antonio, Texas academy. The video illustrates a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu technique known as "Spider Guard."
